A year ago, our new printing press arrived in Ruitz.

Already! The goal was simple on paper, tougher in practice: upskill on a technology completely unknown to the team.
Twelve months later, our printers’ team is direct about the outcome: « We’ve gained confidence, we’ve developed skills in very specific areas, four-color printing, cello-glazing. We’re trained, comfortable with the equipment, and better qualified. »

The path wasn’t easy, though. Lots of electronics, programming, a world completely different from the old line, far more automated. We had to adapt, understand, train, and once training was over, learn to fly on our own: « You’re alone with your teammate in front of the machine. The manufacturer’s technicians are available remotely, but you have to react and act on a daily basis. »

And then there was that moment. The first four-color print, once everything was calibrated. « A lot of pride, the feeling that we’re entering a new era. » Today, the machine’s pace speaks for itself: record productivity, and the pride of having brought the equipment to such a level of excellence.

Upskilling on a disruptive technology doesn’t happen overnight. But thanks to our united and committed team, we made it.
